Are you passionate about telling the stories of your community? Interested in exploring a career in journalism? CBJ is proud to partner with the Saint Paul Neighborhood Network (SPNN) to offer a four-week summer intensive that offers training in online, radio and video reporting, as well as other key journalism skills.  This program is designed for ambitious 17-24 year olds from diverse backgrounds. Participation is limited to current residents of Ramsey County. Thanks to generous funding from Ramsey County Workforce Solution, eligible participants will each be provided with a $1200 stipend, key reporting equipment, and placement in a Twin Cities newsroom for either a 4- or 8- week work experience. 

The 2024 Summer Journalism Intensive takes place July 8 - Aug 2, Mon - Fri, 9am - 1pm

The first half of the intensive will take place at the Center for Broadcast Journalism in downtown St. Paul. The second half of the intensive will take place at SPNN headquarters.
